Trackback for articles
Trackback for articles is a component/plugin combination that provides a basic trackback and pingback sending/receiving functionality for standard Joomla articles.
Nothing fancy, very simple.
Prerequisites:
Joomla 1.5.x, for pingbacks: enabled webservice (in the Joomla configuration) and PHP with cURL support.
Installation:
install the component and both plugins (the xmlrpc plugin is only needed if you want to use pingbacks). Then publish the plugins. Tweak all the parameters (component and plugins) to your needs.
Usage:
When accessing an article (in frontend), a trackback URL is displayed and the header information for pingback is added. If possible (i.e. if logged in), it is possible to send a trackback to a remote site. When adding a new article, the text is scanned for external links and pingbacks are sent to the respective sites.
