com_error404
With this component, you can customise the error 404 page that your visitors can see when they type a wrong url.
The customized page contains :
* an explanation text
* a link to your homepage
* a search engine that searches on your website
For each error, a mail is sent to the address you want to tell you. You can also define keywords to avoid some of these mails. For example, if you add the keyword "test", all the dead links with the word test will display the error page to users, but will not send the mail. There is still no admin interface for these keywords, but they can be added with PhpMyAdmin for example.
